Dance India Dance Season 2 5th March Elimination News is inside this post, If you are really not willing to know about elimination, please do no read this post.
Followed by a shocking elimination of Shashank last week after two superb solo performance, now it’s a girl’s turn to go out of the competition. Sources told us that Kruti Mahesh has been eliminated from the Dance India Dance Season2. Really shocking to see the people get out of the competition who are favorites by the public.
Dharmesh stood first in the public Voting, Binny Sharma 2nd and Kishore at no.3. Geeta Ki gang has got some really good chances to win the competition this year and Geeta Kapoor must be feeling proud on this.
Lowest voted contestants this week are Nikkitasha Marwah, Amrita Mitra, Kruti Mahesh and Punit Pathak.

those guys who are favorites of the audience will never go even if they give one or two average or bad performances… but those who give constantly good performances and are not good looking or for any reason not favorites of the audience, are voted out even if they give one average performance.. thats what happened with both shashank and kruti and thats what sucks so badly about audience voting

I did not like Kruti’s performances last week..very average
But TOday Amrita, Kruti, Binny were very good.
Shakti’s performance was not good at all..Her expressions even not good…When Terrence said she did that nagin expression was good..i did not like it..i even can’t see her eyes.

It cud be used to do some stunts. Or could be incorporated into the act using some choreography. Using the backside of the wheel, I mean its not like u have some huge kick-ass thing there and u run to it just to turn yourself. It could have been blended in.

TODAY IS WORST DAY OF DID 2 AS TALENTED DACER LIKE KRUTI WAS OUT. I AM STUNNED THAT WHY GRANDMASTER DIDN’T USED HIS VETO POWER? SHE IS COMPLETE AND TRUE PERFORMER AND BETTER THAN SOME OF DANCER WHO STAYED

shashank was a great dancer too.. why didnt mithun use his veto power then.. he’s not going to use it till the end.. last time he used it when the last girl went out.. this time he’s gonna use it if there’s no girl in the final and he’ll get one in it.. OR if there is a girl in the finals then he might get someone else back
i don’t think shashank was great. yes his last two performances were good but before that he didn’t perform. Kruti on the other hand always gave good performances and she was by far the most versatile dancer on DID..
I think Nikkitasha shud have gone, but since shashank was from remo k rangeelay and shez in remo’s team as well, they didn’t elmininate her.

both nikitasha n kruti have performed at same level i guess…nikitasha is a brilliant classical dancer….n i think for each of these dancers u can say this …every elimination from now on will be like dis …i would choose Nikitasha if its betwwen her n kruti …
didn’t you guy notice one more thing here? k mostly people like other’s kind of dance form like hip hop / locking poping then this Classical, bcoz krudi & may be next week tasho. yeh reason aap logo k samny hy.
I beg to differ…I feel really sad that people misjudge the performances..Shashank is outstanding in contemporary but okay in other dance forms..on the other hand Kruti is not just outstanding in classical..but extremely good in most of the forms..let it be bollywood, salsa, hip-hop..the only performance that she was not upto the mark was last weeks duo with Jack…but if r really taking about one single performance..then ppl like Dharmesh, Binny, n most of them should have been kicked out when their one single performance wasn’t good…n as far as Mithun da’s veto power..I am really surprised why dint he use it…if he is planning to use it later on..it probably wont be worth..coz the best has been eliminated and the weaker ones r still sitting there…
u cant coment on any one’s judgeent when it comes to junta ….what appeals u may not appeal the rest …she is ur favourite but thr r few like u ..n u look more irritated by dhar mesh …n shashank was definitely not better than these here …judgemens r different ..u ant claim sum1 is misjudging ..n veto is used for extra ordinary ppl or to save the last girl …dharmesh jack amrita n may be for shakti ( terrence’s sweetheart)

i like saajan performance. remo is working hardest with him it seems. this year remo is down. taashu is a fab dancer but she didnt shine under remo. geeta has been working hard and so has terence and it shows.
remo was so appalled when geeta jacked his last year’s performance

hey hi m ravi i m following this show since 1st episode. m really very sad 4 kruti
i dont know wat was happening in DID-2… couldnt decide whether the dance is perfect or the public is perfect , actually who is perfect to judge in DID… r the people in India simply voting the dancer’s performance or the dancer who is from the belonging States…. plz can i have any relaible answer for my complicated question……??? anything plz….??
i dont know how the voting is going on. its beyond my comprehension. but i can tell u one thing. its definitely not regionalistic(according to states). usually this is a problem with singing contests, where everyone seems to vote for bengalis(sorry if anyone is offended). but DID fans, thankfully, have not voted like this thus far. hopefully they wont in the future. and DID actually lacks a “perfect” judge. you know what i think, i think DID should bring one more judge into the show who is neutral (is part of no team or anything like it). i know they have mithun da for this. but i want a judge who is actually a choreographer and who is a very good dancer. this way we have unbiased, objective views of the performances….and also not broad comments like mithun da gives.
Yea it’s glad to see that not happening here in DID. And the issue that you raised is true too. All 3 masters if unbiased are good. We could see that in the auditions. But its common human nature to uphold your values, work and friends or students etc. It would be awesome if an unbiased judge be bot in and he could have a share in the marks alloted to the contestants. And the rest remaining filled in by the janta. It would lend some parity to the voting and keep the best pple rooted. To find a person like that would be a challenge. But this could be an improvement to the show. Wat do you guys think?
there are so many outstanding choreographers out there. im sure DID can find one person.

Also votes are manipulated to a great extent…DID or Zee tv manipulates votes n eliminates contestants according to their TRPs… not really based on public voting..I think public votes fairly..although favorite contestant biasing comes…at the end of the day..I think the result is fair enough..but the show plays a lot of tricks in order to keep equal contestants n to raise their TRPs…
b4 the dicision power on Grand Master Hand, so it was probably going normal, but when the dicision goes on Public Hand, so now that’s all thing going wrong way. Public already choose their Dancer, the weather he or she does good attempt on that day or not. people don’t care, they want just only he / she may WIN, people didn’t caste their vote’s on that day performance basis. they already choose their favirotes. most of those people caste bogus voting. may be there some restrict system on official website, i am not sure really!.
unfortunately, this does seem to be the case! i cried my eyes out seeing kruti go. chahe koi bhi kuch bhi kahe, she definitely didnt deserve to go out. but what to do. life is never fair for anyone. i mean kisiki haar hoti hai to kisiski jeet hoti hai. kruti ki haar tashu ki jeet bangayi aaj.

i didnt cry becuz tashu is still there. i cried cuz kruti left. u have to understand. i admired that girl from the bottom of my heart. im not sure if its terrence’s fault or not. but if it is, then i dont think i can forgive that guy.
But I prefer Kruti over Tashu. Tashu’s todays performance was not good
at all.
tashu ki ek bhi solo mujhe aaj tak achchi nahi lagi. not even one and yet she is happily returning back to the couch and poor kruti has been kicked out of the competition. ye janta chahti kya hai?

They could even have themes every week. Like how they did in the mega auditions. But I don’t know how far that would work out. But if it does we would get well groomed dancers who are really capable at the end of the show. Let me know what you guys think about these suggestions.
i like this idea of having a theme. this way the public can see every dancer’s limitations and excellence, which will then enable to vote for the right person. i like this idea. but the only problem here is that the public might be bored when they see dozens of dances in the same dance form. that would be horrendous to watch especially if u dont like one style of dancing. and another thing, this would mean that the masters have to choreograph more than one sequence in the same genre in the same week. they will run out of ideas. too hard to do. and there will be blames that why did this master give a better sequence for his contestant than the other contestant and stuff. there will too much drama. a better idea would be what SYTYCD does. have each pair pick a dance genre from a hat. this way we will have variety, the contestants true ability will come foreward and its not too much to ask from masters. this could be a feasible idea.
Yea that sounds good. It would be a good challenge for the masters too. Seriously that would take these guys out of their forte. Yea that could be one thing to do. And like I mentioned before have a unbiased neutral judge who is a really good choreographer give some percent of the marks and leave da rest to public.

well a reliable answer is difficult to a complicated question , buts heres my humble attempt
we ppl (not just indian but all over the world i think) decide our favourites quite early in the show based on a certain APPEAL, and we contiunue to vote for our favourites irrespective of minor variations int therir performance level thruout the show, unless of course they becum terrible suddely
now the question arises ‘what governs this APPEAL of a contestant?’
heres what i think are the factors (thought the priority of each factoe differs from person to person)
*TALENT – after all this is a talent show and noone likes sumone decidedly bad..minor differences can exist in ppl’s perception of what is talent.. for eg i think binny is very untalented but lots of ppl think she is.
but yeah, by and large ‘bad’ dancers dont survive
*LOOKS- this may sound politically incorrect but looks do matter. its been scientifiacally proven that we humans think better of better-looking ppl.. and since this is a tv show, it is important for all contestans to be atleast decent looking or peresntable.
*CHARACTER – i think we like contestants we’d like to meet and talk to in real life too. so ppl who are sweet, humble, gracious, etc etc (or appear to be) are liked better
*PERSONALITY - in oreder to be moemorable u need to have a distinct personality. for eg, we see saajan as ‘sweet innocnet smalltown boy’ we see dharmesh as’ talented tacher who cant speak english’, we see jack as ‘cute chubby boy with weird accent’
they have to stand out from the rest of the crowd in some way, otherwise they face the fate of shahsank, who didnt create a memorable impression.
*CONNECTION. – we subconscoiusly look for ppl who are siliar to us in some way. this is where same state, same language etc come into the picture. i liked kruti cos she also was dark and a bharatnatyam dancer and spoke good english like me.
*X FACTOR – i guess this the term for sexiness. sexiness doesnt mean a good figure or a good body. it means a certain confidence , charm and aura that one radiates. like dharmesh. theres sumthing abt him…
i guess this is all i can think of right now…
a lot of these factors are not conscious thougths buit subconscious ones so many ppl may disagree with me…

notice how talent is only 1/6 of the qualities people look for. i dont think any of these qualities should matter besides dance. this is a dance competition and should be solely based on dance. this is not a pageant. if this was a beauty pageant, then we look for character, looks, personality, and stuff like that. although one another important quality brkdancekid mentioned, versitality, is very necessary.
parvez was versitality, vandhana was good performer & NOW New Victim krudi.
if u see thr is always an X factor with great performers …be it prabhu deva ..be it michael jackson ..be it sachin tendulkar or be it roger federer…they all create an aura …in this show dharmesh is the one for me ….in last season it was Jai …but instead of criticising junta for their voting basis …its not abt talent who cares its 1/6 or 6/6 ..its abt who is luvd …its not a dance competition ..its a dance reality show

I really dint get your last sentence yaar…this is a dance show…n we are looking for the best dancer…n I beg to differ..I never vote a contestant just because he is my favorite. At the end of the show if a contestant is wearing that golden topi…I really wish its the most deserving contestant…otherwise its an insult for the topi..shame on us for being biased..Dharmesh is a good human being..but not the best dancer on the show..i wish Janta realizes this before we loose any more good contestants

okay its better to say opinions differ…coz Kruti is one of the best classical dancer I have ever seen..much better than Nikitasha..n I am not really much into Dharmesh talk…I like him..I have no issues with him…I am just hoping that the best win..but like u said..this is how all the reality shows have been…so whatever..
HI all , This is my first comment in this blog.And Unfortunately due to my work exisgency , i m loosing out DID this season.so I m utilising this blog to know about performance.In my opinion whatever i hve seen till now, Dharmesh,Amrita,Puneet,kruti are better dancer this year.Lots of things have been wriiten about dharmesh in this blog, but i feel he is the one who has more different dance form than other.Check his thayyam/bilanshi nagin/rasiya.All are very well peformed by him.
after seeing todays episode i was all the more sad to see kruti go…
not just was the performance lovely, but her grace and humility in the end were also admirable…
don’t worry illision, may be she will call back in the GAME again. but i consider it’s complicated week after week, mathunda missed veto power here now that’s only one option remain for krudi. not to sure the weather he (Mathunda) call her bAck or not with his one remain option. now this is very difficult to say.
mithun da will not use any of his powers just yet. its just too early in the comeptititon. when he uses these poweres, he has to make sure he is using them for the right person. no doubt kruti deserves to come back. but lets say, tomorrow dharmesh gets eliminated(which i think is a joke), then it would make more sense to use the veto power for him. so basically mithun da is saving those powers just in case a really really good contestant goes.
i felt that used on AMAR / Shakti & biNNy if they eliminated.
Only thing i can guess is Grand master will use his both powers for GIRLS.
kruti deserves it more than amar or binny. but thats just my opinion. she also deserves it more than tashu, punit, kishore, and saajan. so she might have a high chance of coming back. but if dharmesh, or amrita, or shakti, or jack go, then im not sure she will get this chance. i truly imagined the top 5 as dharmesh, Kruti, Shakti, Amrita, and Jack. so sad to see my top 5 shattered. but we’ll see what happens.
As we all know Kruti is definitely better than puneet, saajan, Nikitasha, n Kishore…but I also think that Veto power can be used on Kruti even over Jack, Binny, Amar….very sad that Mithun da dint use it at the right time..if tomorrow he is gonna use it for Binny, Jack or Amar…its not gonna be fair because the level of competition is gonna be tough…n their elimination may not be very unfair like how it is now for Kruti..

Wow! I really wonder if the show’s fixed or not. No offense to anyone, but how was Amrita able to stay on, while Kruti was eliminated? (no offense to any amrita lovers, but kruti was probably on of the only dancers to show so many different forms). Kruiti, I really, really hope you come back. No matter what, we are all very very proud of you and just on thing: “Winners never quit, and quitters never win”, okay?! Don’t be disheartnened!

its not that easy to never be disheartened. but the one who manages through all the troubles with this attitude, i give them a grand salute. they r truly courageous people and we are blessed to have their feet grace this earth. very few people like this exist. very few. people accept this attitude at some instances in their life. lots of people do. but very few accept this attitude and apply it to everything they do. those are the people i admire.
I completely agree. Your words remind me of Parvez. Even though he was eliminated, he never gave up and he even went out of the competition with a smile, promising to give his best for everything. I really value you words and admire Parvez’s courage.
i missed 1hour tonight SHOW coz of electricity problem, but Yes i saw Kishore performance. msg was good, but she totally missed that the weather this concept connect with people or not, G33ta total lost this time with kishore, he was right say that the people connect with this act or not. when i listen the song i go back 2 the DID1 where there Remo & Salman did Same Dance song, but compare with the Remo & Salman attempt , Geeta kishore act Very Very Avarage, Bad Try G33ta Ma’aM Remo & Salman choreography was Cute & Awesome.
Punit attempt was Good, but as compare Last w33k Amar attmept was much Good Energy then this. G33ta was right, his energy lil LOW.
Amrita Attempt was Good… Over All she is Smart Contestant & good Competitor too.. k33p it up Chichori LoL

…Nikitasha very nice dancing …Kruti hard luck …but i guess every elimination is shocking now ..i would any day choose nikitasha over kruti …but purely on the basis of last saturday’s performance ..i guess she was the one…hip hop with jack ..damn it gal …why dint shakti tried it ….terrence wont do this with her student ..she has already done 3 or 4 couple dances in the show n again now …n those were all performances of the day i guess …i dun understand dis politics between terrence n shakti …why shakti for passadoble …n kruti for trying hip hop …definitely shakti is better ..but she already did 3 or 4 couple dances with amar ….i hate dis …but i dunno why ppl like her even after good dancing ..seriously why kruti for hip hop with jack n not shakti ??

Shakti was giving weird expressions when Geeta Maa was speaking for JACK.
Remo and geeta both told JAck that he did not connect well and they have seen better performances with one or no hands and feet. Watch Shakti’s expressions..she is not humble..
I still have hope for her b’s of contemporary. Todays performance ..forget dancing ..noteven full of energy

I agree, samajh me nahi aa raha hi Dharmesh ko itta low profile kyu rakhakha ja raha hai, jabki usske performance lajawaab hai. 5th march ka dance shayad first DID performance hoga, jaha stunt ke saath glasses aur tubes break kiye body pe. But not much appriciation from remo. Punit ko itta high profile rakhakha hai Remo ne, but siwaaye pagalpan dikhane ke, kuchh dance to dikha nahi ussme abhi, usse kahi achchha dance Jack, Kuwar aur Kishor karte hai.
Dharmesh Sir, iswar aapko buri nazar se bachaye, U R A TALENT… and none can deny that. I request everyone… please vote for Dharmesh, he need you, dont think, that he is the highest voted, and he will get vote anyway….

hi guys , this is my first comment , i agree with all of u.. u guys have your own judgement , however my personal opinion is most of the dancers are very good,they are given a song to perform and choreography choreographed , their talent , capabilities , effort, luck .prayers , all plays a role, its not easy to perform on stage and instead of being appreciated the contestants are being judged by their popularaties among the janta.We must vote thruthfully putting their talent first in mind. May the best dancer win.
