Someone Lost His Life Trying DID Stunts

LUCKNOW: In a shocking incident that came to light on Sunday morning here, a nine-year-old boy died while trying to perform a stunt shown in a
dance reality shown on television. The incident was reported from Sector 8 of Vikasnagar police circle in the state capital. Identified as Chandan Singh Rawat, the boy was found hanging with one end of a stocking tied around his neck and another end from the handle of terrace door of the house.

The incident took place around 9 pm on Saturday but the family members of the victim informed police late on Saturday night. Chandan, a student of class IV from Golden Circle Public School in Sector 6 of Vikasnagar, was living along with his uncle Bhagat Singh Rawat. The boy’s parents live in Pithoragarh.

Chandan’s parents had sent him to study in Lucknow in 2006. Bhagat Singh, who is an assistant manager in the high value branch of Punjab National Bank in Hazratganj, said that at the time of the incident he was in office and informed over phone.

Bhagat added that his mother along with his elder sister-in-law who live in the RBI Colony here had come over for dinner on Saturday evening. While the other family members were having dinner. Bhagat’s three children Nakul, Mitali and Rahul along with their cousins Chandan and Kamlesh were playing.

After a while the other four except Chandan went for dinner. This led to the family searching for the boy for dinner. When one of them went upstairs he saw Chandan hanging with a stocking tied around his neck.

The boy was rushed to a doctor in the locality, who pronounced him brought dead. Around midnight on Saturday, Vikasnagar police was informed about the incident which reached the site in the morning to send the body for post-mortem.

Bhagat said: “Chandan, apart from being good in studies, also had interest in dance. On Friday, he had asked my wife Nanda, while watching a dance reality show (Dance India Dance) on Zee Television channel if he could also perform the same stunt that a contestant was performing with a rope in his hand.”

Nanda not taking the chat seriously did not answer back. On Saturday too the boy told his cousin Kamlesh, who was also living in the same house and come here for studies, that he was going to perform a stunt by hanging himself.

After an hour of this conversation, Chandan was found hanging. His father Balu Singh was informed about the incident over phone and the body was sent for post-mortem.

I think the boy died seeing roadies episode not DID,
Because that stunt of rope around the neck was done by roadies contestant.Pls check and then put up the correct things.

pls……we can’t blame DID for this mishap bcoz,it was again and again told by Mithun sir again not to repeat the stunts at home . Now it is duty of parents to take care and council the children when they have any doubt in their mind and they should not take any question as a fun. when the child asked about the stunt, the parent should have told him about the danger in the stunts .

It’s not that only by saying or advising will change the way of trying this, so I strongly say that this kind of stunt shows is not actually called as a dance. As Dance is something else then these kind of stupid things which are going on in dance India dance show. and one more thing I can still say that even advising and warning will not help for the persons who is curious to try this and see if they can do and the parents could not watch all the time and be back of them, So I am sure those kind of stunts carries on there is no doubt this kind of incidents and accidents happen in the future too. And the next thing is stunts are suitable only in stunts shows like SHABAAS INDIA SHABAAS, perhaps the meaning suites as the name and I think the contestant can participate in that show and not in DID. Encouraging this kind of shows is trying and putting others to encourage taking risk and problems so I again tell that DANCE should be in a dancing way and not a risky and stunts way. But I do really appreciate Mithun Dhaar being so kind and of course for his valuable advice.

  Yes, I completely agree with Sanjay. These type of stunts are uncalled for in DID. DID is a dance platform. The circus is not required. Now a days we only see circus in Terence tolly and Geetha’s gang. Hardly any dance is there. Please try to concentrate on the dance. The audience wants to see more dance.
  The children do not hear or concentrate on advise of Mitunda ‘not to try at home’. What children know, they only concentrate on the stage not the words. E.g. uneducated people what they understand!!

This tag is now repeated and posted everywhere since last decade.In reality shows, In our childhood favorite WWF aka WWE..So who ever tries such things at home is to blame.I feel sad for the boys’ parents but if we blame TV for that then all horror movies,action movies, everything should be shut which is not fair when no sensible person would do such things at home…

So don’t even think of blaming DID ? Hope you got my valid Logical point ?

as per what simplySL saying I don’t agree with this as you know if you compare horror movies and WWF etc its not at all a stunts, and after all its sure that every one know its a movie after all, but the DID is entirely different comparing to this, as every one can see the participants doing the skill with the stunts and everyone know its the reality show and not a horror movie or rustling, But watching horror movie, its not broadcasts in TV or get any kind of this movie to the house regularly by the parents and watch that in front of children’s. And dance India dance it’s a program and the episode with continuation everyday, and most of them excited to watch every show and it’s common that some it might tempt some who are eager to try this themselves. Just in words nothing can help instead its better to avoid this kind of risky shows which is really dangerous and harmful. As to the Name Dance India dance where DANCE is in this show, it’s clear that every one can watch the risky things and STUNDS only in this .So some one who tries seeing this show and loose the life then, whom can this be blamed???but in simple answer anyone can say its already said many times in the show that don’t try to do this in home, but this I don’t think will help for the parents who loose their kids

Its right as per the comments by debu(SAB TOTALLY PAGAL HAI)but its true that fools can watch this episode and like this, as said paagal hai wo log jo ye show aur episode dekhthe Hai, Kyo ki peheli baath isme DANCE ka koi mathlab nahi, aur agar stunts or risky things karna hai tho inke liye SHABBASH INDA me hissa lena teek rahega,and this is not the right platform to those who want to show off their stunts fireworks and ghost shows in the name of DANCE INDIA DANCE, where its a really a funny things here can be watched except some exercise and create a show which is senseless, the meaning DANCE should stand for DANCE and not a Circus or a gymnasium show, where this can spoil the Meaning of it, and perhaps the circus and stunts guys can also participate in this in the name of DANCE

I Agree Nazz WE see stunts on every show on tv DID has nothing to do with it, And in childrens case parents should be taking better care and i dont think he would have done it alone he was trying to impress his friends and why didnt they say anything? the whole thing sounds fishy, i mean what was he doing with stockings in the first place????

as per Aks comments its just like Aks was presently there watching when this incident happened and seen personally because its nothing mentioned that the boy was performing this in front of his friends, and coming to the parents any parents could not keep an eye with their children’s all the time jus guessing all this will not help for what really going on, Agreeing with Naz is just like a joke as movies and TVs are not a regular show of STUNTS like DID, First of all there is noting related to Dance in this program except performing risky things and some Gym. encouraging this kind of program and shows will raise majority of stunt man and circus guys and some gym people perhaps magicians too, its quite foolish show where I have ever seen as an entertainment, which really make no sense

its true that its repeatedly in all episodes, as its very well known to everyone that parents always cont be behind with their children any where and anytime, but this risky things and performance is effecting a lot in the children’s, and of course no wonder the children could make an attempt in trying this, so its better that the DID should stop this kind of risky things which surely makes no sense in the Name of dance, obviously nothing ca see any dance excepts thrills, stunts gym, exercise and circus. and its really a foolish thing to watch this episode in the Name of DANCE INDIA DANCE, and when the name for this program should match what that mean and not add anything else which is not suited at all for this

And if you say DID is watched more than WWE, you must be living in a desert…The point is, stunts or no stunts, reality shows in every part of the world are like DID, have you ever seen an episode of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE,its a family show and trying that can be Serious, the point is that DID or these shows never tell you to perform or try at home,even the caption runs that these are PROFESSIONALLY SUPERVISED, now a 100 minus IQ person can also follow it…Hope you got my point now…
or if you don’t, what about FEAR FACTOR…Come on man,its not the shows,no sane person does this at home…

@simplyfsl your points are some what of not understandable, in most of the cases, well if you talk about WWF, And HORRER MOVIES then perhaps you don’t understand the meaning of Horror and WWF. And in all the cases am talking about DID (Dance India Dance) and perhaps you don’t understand between dance and horror movies and also the difference in WWF. as per DID its nothing called dance in it, except stunts Gym and Exercises, mean while risky things like Circus and ghost performance is definitely not related to any part in dance in it, if this performance is considered as dance then there is no wonder a circus men’s and street dancers could participate in this, and this episode then have to change the name as stunt India stunt or circus India circus or else can be a episode like SHABAAS INDIA. And not Dance India Dance. and coming to the second point which is repeatedly advised not to try this at home saying itself does not avoid, but the reality is to avoid this doing in the name of DID which has nothing related things in dance in this, performing risky things and saying dance India dance and then advice not to try Dance in the house what does this mean.?? Does this make any sense????

Well well well..I think I should scream to make you understand brother..I mentioned wrestling and horror,Ok I agree to your logic there..Ok…But You never replied about my real question.Have you ever watched an episode of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE or BRITAINS GOT TALENT…Now what about that,you keep negating DID, my point is..This is not the only show which does such risky sequences,there are shows all over the world and if you dont like to watch them,just dont but dont go on as saying these things are wrong.There is a good word in English for it : GENRE…I dont watch comedy shows simply because I dont like them…

Dancing shows all over the world are like this,if you dont like watching,simply change channel..Noone in Uk, Us or anywhere else tried stunts done in shows I mentioned…Then who is wrong..Brother, be reasonable, if you dont like something,it doesnt mean its bad…

Just wonder one thing dear simplyfsl or in other words I can say just simply, what ever its let me come to the point as I said your simply scream will not change the reality perhaps you still did not understand the Word DANCE. so may be you have to learn bit more or ask something regarding this with some experts or qualified until you get exactly what will be the meaning, so now i still tell you one thing which perhaps will be difficult for you to get it or understand that is there any thing you can see dance in the episode when the title stands as DID,? and more over Dance is not at all related to any stunts exercise circus or Gym, as I told you earlier if a person from a circus comes and perform some circus or a stunt man comes and does some stunts or a ghost performances like black magic does any thing related to him and then say its a dance will any one agree to this??? More over it’s almost the risky thing done by them and if any one point out the deference or comment on this then you will say if you don’t like this close the TV or change the channel or stop watching this, what kind thinking or you mean by this? its nit that any one can stop any one who is watching changing a channel or closing a TV, its left for them as to what they like to do and no one can stop this by saying this, and due to this is a comment site and any one can say about their feelings and suggestions, more over if you have been doing this its up to you and you can say any one to do this as you have done for your self. of course if you have any comments its different and its mostly appreciated, talking about UK or US has no sense and nothing to do with this in any matter, regarding other shows it has its own meaning or sense for each one and this cannot be mixed up with DID, or cant be copied due to that in this. for example if the stunts and risky items considered as dance then in a move if a hero and a heroin do this in a scene and say this is a dance then what would be a reaction? As I feel, that Darmesh is qualified teacher. He has school, students. Why he is in DID? Let him give chance aspirings. Also, some dance teachers, department heads are participating? They should give chance new dancers. There should be certain guidelines for participation. This is unfair on others part. This Mitunda should understand.

I AM THE WINNER OF INTER SCOOL DANCE COMPETITION,MUMBAI.
the act shown in did cannot b called as stunts becoz it is a martial arts or classical from various country& states.there r many dancing forms like malkam,b boying,acrobesia,hip hop which needs a lot of eneRgy and it cant b called as a stunt.i am doing b boying since when i was 9 years old.The grand master as also stated that dont try this at home.i am feeling very sad for that child.Bi dont think that DID should b blamed.i m now 15yrs old i like all the 4 masters who helps to bring the talent out.I wanted take part in DID but this year i cant 10std.ALL 4 MASTERS CAN U TEACH ME SOME STEPS PLZ IF U CAN MAIL THE ADDRESS TO rockersafn@rocketmail.com!!!!!!!OR CALL 9820114655.
