Indian culture is unique, teeming with peculiarities that fly right over Westerners’ heads. One of the most obvious cultural differences is that there is a name which indicates your relationship to a person – something Western culture lacks. (Take, for example, the difference between “dadi” and “nani” – they both simply become “grandma” in English!) All your elders are inevitably related to you in some way, and usually, they are your “Aunty” or “Uncle.” Dance India Dance L’il Master‘s Grand Master Farah Khan, however, does not readily accept the “aunty” title.
Other masters readily take on new titles, like Geeta Kapoor (“Geeta Maa”) and Grand Master Mithun Chakraborty (“Dada”). However, Dance India Dance L’il Master’s Grand Master Farah Khan refuses to accept the title of “aunty.”
Farah Khan explains, “At first, they were all very formal and scared, but as they kids have been interacting with us for a while now, and have gotten into the Final 16, for some reason they suddenly started calling me Aunty.” She adds with a laugh, “Now, I may be a mother of three children myself, but I don’t think I’m old enough to be called Aunty!!”
Farah has instead told the kids to call her “didi” rather than “Maa” or “Aunty,” telling them they will face the consequences otherwise… by having their marks cut! “Well, of course I’m joking about cutting marks, but seriously, mujhe Aunty mat kehna, haan…,” says the no-nonsense judge.

ya lots of people now adays don,t like to be aged.Even here in usa,one of my friend called one aged lady aunty,she refuse that pz don,t call me aunty.so,she is film director and obvious its dislike by her.
